This Privacy Policy explains how Tomango collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use the Tomango customer mobile application, website, and related consumer-facing services, including when your information is processed through Tomango systems such as merchant dashboards, rider applications, and internal administration tools for the purpose of operating and fulfilling orders.

In this Policy, "Tomango", "we", "us", and "our" refer to Tomango. "You" and "your" refer to any user, visitor, customer, or account holder using Tomango's services.

By accessing or using Tomango, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. Where required by applicable law, we may also seek your consent separately for specific processing activities.


1.Scope of this Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to personal and related information collected by Tomango through:

  1. the Tomango website
  2. the Tomango customer app
  3. customer support interactions
  4. order placement, order fulfilment, and payment workflows
  5. in-app chat and service communications
  6. analytics, cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies used on our digital services

This Policy is primarily written for customer users of Tomango. It does not govern the independent privacy practices of restaurants, payment gateways, logistics vendors, external websites, or other third parties that may interact with you separately.

We collect information in different ways depending on how you use Tomango.

A. Information you provide directly

When you create an account, place an order, contact support, or otherwise use Tomango, you may provide us with information such as:

  1. full name
  2. mobile phone number
  3. email address
  4. password, where email and password login is used
  5. delivery address and saved addresses
  6. postal code
  7. profile photo
  8. date of birth
  9. gender
  10. preferences and account settings
  11. details relating to the recipient of an order, where you place an order for another person
  12. ratings you submit about restaurants, orders, or delivery experiences
  13. messages or information shared through customer support or in-app chat
  14. information you provide when participating in surveys, contests, feedback forms, or promotions
  15. other information you choose to provide through your profile or while using the platform

If you choose to sign in through Google or Apple, we may receive certain profile and authentication information made available by those services, such as your name, email address, and profile details.

If you place an order for someone else, you confirm that you are authorized to share the relevant delivery details with us.

B. Transaction and order information

When you browse, order, pay, cancel, or request a refund through Tomango, we may collect and store information including:

  3. items ordered
  4. special instructions
  5. billing and invoice-related details
  6. delivery addresses

  9. saved payment preferences or tokens provided through payment partners

Tomango does not intend to store full card details directly. Sensitive payment information is processed through third-party payment gateways and processors.

C. Information collected automatically

When you use Tomango, we may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, such as:

  2. operating system and version
  3. browser type
  4. IP address
  5. app version
  6. language and timezone settings
  7. crash logs and diagnostic information
  8. pages or screens viewed
  9. session duration and app usage activity

  12. approximate or precise location data, where permitted by your device settings

D. Location information

Tomango may collect your location while you are actively using the app, particularly to help you browse nearby restaurants, determine serviceability, improve address selection, and provide a smoother order experience. Tomango does not intend to collect background location through the customer app unless that changes in the future and is separately disclosed.

E. Information from cookies, pixels, SDKs, and analytics tools

Our website and app may use cookies, pixels, tags, SDKs, and similar technologies to understand user activity, improve performance, measure usage, support advertising, and maintain account functionality.

F. Information from third parties

We may receive limited information about you from third parties, including:

  2. payment processors and payment gateways

  4. anti-fraud and security service providers

  9. improving app and website functionality, speed, reliability, and user experience

A. With restaurants

When you place an order, Tomango may share relevant information with the restaurant fulfilling that order, including your:

Restaurants may use this information for their own order fulfilment and customer service purposes. Their handling of your information is governed by their own policies and practices, not this Privacy Policy.

B. With delivery partners

To deliver your order, Tomango may share relevant information with delivery partners, including your:

  4. relevant delivery instructions

C. With service providers and vendors

Tomango currently uses or may use tools such as:

7.App Permissions

Depending on the features you use, Tomango may request access to certain device permissions.

A. Location

We may request location access while the app is in use to help you discover nearby restaurants, improve address selection, and support smooth ordering.

B. Photo gallery

We may request access to your photo gallery where needed for features such as uploading a profile image or other user-submitted content enabled by the platform.

C. Notifications

We may request permission to send push notifications for order updates, security alerts, support responses, and other app-related messages. Where enabled, we may also use notifications for marketing communications.

You can manage these permissions through your device settings.


8.Communications and In-App Chat

Tomango may communicate with you through:

  4. WhatsApp
  5. phone calls
  6. in-app messages or chat

These communications may be used for OTP verification, order updates, support, service announcements, policy updates, safety notices, and, where enabled, marketing communications.

If you use in-app chat with Tomango support or within order-related communication flows, those messages may be stored, reviewed, and used for customer support, service quality, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, safety, and training purposes.


9.Ratings and User Content

Tomango may collect and display ratings submitted by users about restaurants, delivery experiences, or related services. We may also use such ratings for quality control, customer support, and platform improvement.

Please provide only information that is relevant and appropriate. Do not include sensitive personal information in public or semi-public content areas.


10.Data Retention

Tomango retains information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to:

  1. provide and improve the service
  2. maintain account history and transaction records
  3. comply with tax, accounting, legal, and regulatory obligations
  4. detect and prevent fraud or abuse
  5. resolve complaints, disputes, chargebacks, and investigations

Tomango currently intends to store and process data in India. We may use third-party cloud infrastructure, hosting providers, and technical service providers located in India to operate the platform.

Even where Tomango uses third-party infrastructure, we expect those providers to process data in line with applicable contractual and operational requirements.

Tomango uses reasonable technical, organizational, and administrative safeguards designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, misuse, or loss.

These measures may include access controls, authentication controls, secure transmission practices, vendor management, monitoring, and other standard security measures appropriate to the nature of the platform.

Payment information is intended to be handled through third-party payment gateways and processors rather than being fully stored by Tomango.

No method of transmission over the internet or method of storage is completely secure. As a result, while we take security seriously, we cannot guarantee absolute security.


13.Your Choices and Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the ability to:

  1. correct or update certain account information
  2. request deletion of your account
  3. withdraw from marketing communications
  4. manage app permissions such as location, gallery access, and notifications
  5. manage certain communication preferences through app settings

Marketing preferences may also be managed through your consumer app settings, and you may use available unsubscribe or opt-out options where offered.

Please note that even if you opt out of marketing messages, we may still send you important service, transactional, legal, or security-related communications.

Tomango may contain links to third-party websites, maps, login tools, payment services, restaurant pages, or other external services. Tomango is not responsible for the content, security, or privacy practices of those third parties.

Tomango may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, product features, technologies, legal obligations, or business practices.

If we make material changes, we may update the date at the top of this Policy and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through the app, website, or other suitable channels.
